Election Day

Tomorrow is election day here in Australia, and if the polls are to be believed, John Howard and his Liberal party are going to be voted out of office, with Kevin “Mmm..earwax” Rudd likely to be Australia’s new Prime Minister. While one late poll indicates the election may be closer than first thought, chances are the man I believe to be Australia’s greatest ever Prime Minister will tomorrow be Australia’s greatest ever ex-Prime Minister.

There will be no election live-blogging or podcasting from me since tomorrow is the Jewish Sabbath. So the next time you hear from me, I will either be lamenting the results or expressing my gratitude for the miracle that occurred.

i’m quite a zionistic jew if i say so myself. and yes i believe lil johnny was a good prime minister. i think there really needed to be a change in government. its hard to understand the atmosphere living in israel. from a distance howard was good for israel, good for the economy and a good diplomat BUT domestically, things were really starting to feel stale. Nothing much was happening on the enviroment front, broadband is one of the slowest in the OECD, workchoices was a bad idea and most of all, nobody likes costello yet the reigns would have been given to him midway through term.

Anyway, Rudd is actually a christian zionist, its only his support team that i’m worried about – some of whom have a history in the socialist alternative. I plan on making aliyah soon yet i still voted for Rudd.

I’m happy with the election result.
