I told one of my co-workers about the hamukah. She looked at me and said “But ya’ll don’t eat pork!”. Clueless in New York but not in Mississippi?
Around Yom Kippur, in my youth, I remember seeing ads for treif restaurants in the the local Jewish newspaper saying, “Come break your fast with us”. SO while this is one step further, it’s not such a stretch.
Congrats on the timeliness of this report. I just saw this item on CNN’s crawl during Wolf Blitzer’s report today. That means IsraellyCool beat CNN, “the most important news organization in the world” (self-proclaimed) by two whole days! You should celebrate with a thick slice of Hamukah smothered in Vegemite!
