Most British people I talk to are very surprised to learn that the numbers are very different. Many Israelis do not realize that and let it fly by or even use the term carelessly. Since the town WAS majority Christian. Might have been a nice non-dhimmi safe place. That would make sense. But I guess that would completely refute all the myths of the area. It's criminal.
