Any followup from these media geniuses yet? I'm very curious because this propaganda flies in the face of reality: my husband is a Jerusalem cop and he and the Border Police just interdicted a car full of hashish about a week ago--coming from Ramallah INTO Jerusalem, NOT the other way around.

Update:

I spoke with the head of Audience and Consumer Affairs, Kirsty to find out what is going on:

1. Hardaker has placed in the post a large bundle of documents
2. They could not say when they were posted or when they will arrive

So I asked them to pull the story. They said they couldn't do this without seeing his documents. I therefore asked as follows:

What would a document look like that proved that Jews were getting palestinians addicted to drugs to steal their houses? She said she couldn't answer such a question on the phone, but understood why I was so angry.

Hey, you should also mention that most of the drugs bought by Israelis are sold in Israeli Arab towns, ie, most of the drugs sold in Tel Aviv are bought in Jaffa; Lod and Ramla which have large Arab populations are major trafficking centers. Not to mention that almost all the drugs that enter Israel come from Egypt (and used to come from Lebanon). The above is common knowledge in Israel, and I doubt many credible Arab Israelis would dispute these facts. So if anything, Pals are buying drugs supplied by their Arab friends abroad. And Israeli Arabs are the main suppliers to Israeli Jews. So this piece was total hogwash.

DAVID HARDAKER: From what you know, are the Israelis deliberately allowing drugs to come into the Palestinian area, or are they simply being neglectful?

This is a loaded question which clearly displays the ABC journalist's bias against Israel. Either Israel is to blame because it's complicit in the supply of drugs - or it's to blame because it is neglecting it! IF the story is true that the supply of drugs to Arabs in the territories is booming then maybe a reason could be that Israel's resources - already stretched because of vital day-to-day security concerns - simply can't cope with the increase in those types of crime that do not existentially threaten the country.
