Or perhaps the Americans were sick and tired of explaining to the Chinese that a hundred dead Chinese civilians were better than one dead Japanese civilian because killing Japanese is "terrorism". “Have you ever been a refugee? I guess that was more or less the experience the Jewish refugees from Arab countries went through in Israel.
