The charge d' affaires a.i. referred to achievements made by the Korean people, saying that Syrian people are significantly celebrating the birthday of Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission. He stated that the Korean people will make positive efforts to develop the relations with Syria in all fields." Remember that possible reactor, and chatter about Syrians being seen going in and out of the DRPK at the time!
