Freedom Bound, English law dictates that polygamy is illegal but Sharia supports it. The British government sides with Sharia law over English law by paying social security to the multiple wives of bigamists.

Sharia, rather than English, law is de facto for many oppressed Muslims. Politicians and police are too scared to talk about forced marriages, honour killings and abused women because of “cultural sensitivities” so leave any “internal” disputes up to sharia courts.

Some concrete evidence of this assertion please. Where has any apsect of sharia law, in any of its various forms, been enacted in British law or local bylaw? Where is there a Sharia court in the UK which comes above UK law?

Just one real, actually existing example please.
