If they were learning gemara (Talmud) then they were learning gemara as part of their regular seder (learning schedule) and not attending a memorial service. I really wonder what their "style guide" says on who is considered a "youth" vs. "men". Is the cutoff 18 years old? What happens if there is a mix of "youths" and "men"?
