Today’s Work Accident(s)

One work accident coming up. Would you like fries with that?

work-accident.jpgPalestinian security officials reported Thursday of an explosion at a beachfront facility of the militant Hamas organization. According to an initial report, two people were killed in the incident and one was injured.

Palestinians claimed that the facility was attacked by the IDF, but the Israeli army denied striking in the area. Sources in Gaza did not rule out the possibility that the incident was a “work accident”.

The blast took place in a Hamas training base, where ammunition and explosives are being held.

Coming soon: claims it was the work of our dreaded Zionist Air PressureTM weapon.

Update: The palestinians are also claiming the IDF killed a donkey-driving farmer.

Israel Defense Forces troops killed a Palestinian civilian near the border fence with the Gaza Strip on Thursday, medical officials said.

The officials said the 60-year-old farmer was shot dead riding on his donkey near the frontier fence east of Khan Younis in the central part of the Hamas-controlled territory.

An IDF spokeswoman said she was looking into the report.

A statement from the IDF spokesman’s office earlier reported that a roadside charge was detonated as an army patrol passed along the border fence, also in the central Gaza area.

No injuries were reported in the blast and it was not clear if the two events were related.

Hmm. An elderly palestinian riding a donkey. Why does that sound familiar?

Update: Hamas has admitted it was a work accident after all.

Palestinian militants accidentally set off a large blast at a Hamas training base in the central Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing two members of the violent Islamic group and wounding another, a Palestinian medical official said.

Hamas initially blamed Israel for the blast, but later acknowledged that it was caused by a mishandling of explosives, saying its men died while performing a “holy mission.”

Interestingly (and perhaps predictably) enough, the palestinian Ma’an News Agency is still reporting this as an IAF strike, replete with archived photo of an IAF plane.

Update: It’s just not their day today.

A young Palestinian man was killed on Thursday when a tunnel collapsed on top of him in the As-Salam neighborhood of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical sources said.

According to the sources, 23-year-old Ashraf Ataya was dead on arrival at Abu Yousif An-Najjar Hospital in Rafah. Medical checks revealed the man suffocated under the debris when the tunnel collapsed.

Come to think of it, any day in which they haven’t killed Jews is not their day.

…so, we know where their training bases are…

It would be nice to take credit, but these work accidents do expose their ineptitude. Which is amusing.

” have you or a loved one been injured in an accident at work that was not your fault? If so please call….”

Wait, the beach? Like the one where ‘picnicers’ were blown up in an explosion and they tried to blame it on the IDF. Well I never.

Is it just me or do these people have absolutely no problem lying their asses off?

We need to learn from their propaganda machine. We need to start lying, it seems. NPR was running news all day basically just telling the Arab side, that we allegedly killed all these people. And they just ran with it.

No, Danny. We need to be telling the truth when we will have the opportunities to announce “we killed a whole lotta them bastards.”

    And that’s the truth!

I’m all for MORE accidents like these… keep up the “good work” !
