Well to be fair in arabic the word “Jew” and “Israeli” are synonymous. When arabs are talking about “Israelis” in arabic they almost always say “Jews”. I am sure Reuters and AFP are hip to that subtle distinction….(sorry need to urgently have surgery to have my sides sown back together.)

Believe it or not, this morning on NPR I heard them specifically say that he called for attacking Jewish targets, and I am not sure if they even mentioned Israeli targets. Also, the BBC has switched Israelis for Jews.
