Mecca Bus

The Sun reports on a Muslim bus driver who told his passengers to get off.

Literally.

A Muslim bus driver told stunned passengers to get off so he could pray.

The white Islamic convert rolled out his prayer mat in the aisle and knelt on the floor facing Mecca.

Passengers watched in amazement as he held out his palms towards the sky, bowed his head and began to chant.

One, who filmed the man on his mobile phone, said: “He was clearly praying and chanting in Arabic.

“We thought it was a wind-up at first, like Jeremy Beadle.”

The 21-year-old plumber added: “He looked English and had a London accent. He looked like a Muslim convert, with a big, bushy beard.

“Eventually everyone started complaining. One woman said, ‘What the hell are you doing? I’m going to be late for work’.”

After a few minutes the driver calmly got up, opened the doors and asked everyone back on board.

But they saw a rucksack lying on the floor of the red single-decker and feared he might be a fanatic. So they all refused.

The passenger added: “One chap said, ‘I’m not getting on there now’.

“An elderly couple also looked really confused and worried.

“After seeing that no-one wanted to get on he drove off and we all waited until the next bus came about 20 minutes later. I was left totally stunned. It made me not want to get on a bus again.”

The bizarre event unfolded on the number 81 in Langley, Berkshire, at around 1.30pm on Thursday.

The passenger said he rang the bus firm to complain but claimed it did not believe him.

He said: “They asked me, ‘Are you sure?’. Then they said they would get back to me, but they weren’t taking me seriously at all.”

Yesterday the driver, who said his name was Hrun, told The Sun: “I asked everyone to get off because I needed to pray. I was running late and had not had time.

“I pray five times a day as a Muslim — but I don’t normally ask people to get off the bus to do it.”

Where does he get off doing this?

I guess he mistook himself for a taxi driver.

Update: In case you are wondering, this report is from March 29th, so it is not an April Fool’s joke as far as I can tell.

  1. Write Britain off. They’re part of the global caliphate now. Write the whole of eurabia off. They’re done and finished by their own cowardice. Now, what about Israel, do we write her off, too? eurabians can play the dhimmitude card. You OTOH will get massacred. There’s only one way for Israel: destroy your enemies.

  2. I think it’s time to write of these rants by Jorge.
Hey Jorge, how about getting a life instead of looking up crap on the internets?

  3. In very general terms, I overall agree with Jorge.

Britain’s time as a free western society is running out. I give them 5, maybe 7 years tops.

As for Israel, we have not yet begun to fight. The solution is indeed to bomb the hell out of anyone or anything that attacks us in any way. Furthermore, the Arabs have got to go. They’ve got around 2 dozen countries to chose from but Jordan is 70% Palestinian Arab already. Move over, little king.

There is no need to be considerate to those who state in their charters that their dearest goals in life are to destroy the Jewish State. None of this will stop until we deal them the death blow to their aspirations, which they’ve long deserved.

where is the guy with his mobile phone?

  5. Do you propose deporting the Druze as well? What about those Arabs that live peacefully with us?

I am not opposed to deportation when appropriate. The Kurds for example, have no problem doing the same thing to those Arabs that won’t play by the rules. Pakistan and India also comes to mind. So too does Poland and Germany after WWII.

But massive deportation is not just ridiculously unfair, it’s ridiculously impractical. Unless you enjoy coming across as a lunatic.

A pic or 2 for you.

Do you propose deporting the Druze as well?

Possibly not. What happened recently in Peki’in has me concerned about what’s coming. But let’s put the Druze aside for the moment. Generally I’m ashamed at the lack of respect and reward the Druze never received for their outstanding loyalty beforehand.

What about those Arabs that live peacefully with us?

Since I believe in forming a Jewish state, I would consider giving them 2nd class citizenship.

Since the alternative is to be sane and dead, I’ll chose lunatic, if you don’t mind.

Otherwise, for starters, read Exchange of Populations.

The death wish of the Arabs and Muslims makes the differences irreconcilable. This is the way to go, Ve’Yafeh Sha’ah Achat Kodem.

Refer to Benny Alon’s plan or Manhigut Yehudit’s policy statements for additional ideas.

    Enough’s enough.

  7. Those Arabs that are willing to live in peace with us should clearly not be harmed in any way. And should certainly be given the same legal rights as anyone else. To say otherwise is ridiculous and clownish at best.

As for the rest, my concern for them ended when settlements were given to them in Gaza. Land was stolen from them, land was stolen back for them. Case closed.

But for you, it is a different matter. I am very wary of people that advocate extreme, broad sweeping actions. I have seen too many such people make grand statements one day, and then the next change their minds completely. To advocate deportation on a massive scale when there may not even be a need for it, sets off all my alarm bells.

As you can see from my post, I have no problem with the concept or practice when it is absolutely necessary. But this is not an idea to be talked about lightly. And as Jews this is certainly so, as we suffered a great deal from anti-semites that encouraged our expulsion from lands too numerous to count on this very basis.

I would propose the following. Scrap the Peace Process, offer a 30 day possibility of keeping the current situation if the PA will cooperate in suppressing all attacks and even the incitement to attack. When they don’t, invade and liberate, not occupy, the lands. Make it clear that there will be no more concessions on these lands, ever. After that, start deporting all the major troublemakers. After that, start deporting the heads of any family involved in terrorism. If you still see problems, then yes, deporting entire communities is warranted.

Of course, it is easy for me to make these suggestions. For one thing, I am not in power, so none of the responsibility for it working is my problem. For another, I don’t have to implement it.

The only honest advice, that is, practical advice would be this – Ahava/Emuna. For Hashem, for yourself, your neighbor, and yes, even for the lunatic fellow who thinks the Peace Process has any chance of working. This is really the most important thing.

That’s about what Ben Gurion thought back in 1948. Time’s up! I’m not interested in administering lie detector tests to the masses. Israel for Jews, Arab lands for Arabs. No more experiments, thank you very much.

As for the rest, my concern for them ended when settlements were given to them in Gaza. Land was stolen from them, land was stolen back for them. Case closed.

The communities of Gush Katif were built on completely barren areas of what the Arabs only thought of was wasteland for all the years when no Jew was allowed to step foot there. Then these very same Gush Katif communities became the Gazan’s biggest and best employers.

We will go back and rebuild every last community – but with one difference. Every filthy Gazan Arab will be shoved out from between these communities, either down to Southern Gaza or to the Egyptian border. No more ambushes, explosive tunnels, infiltrations, mortars, snipings, stabbings or kidnappings.

Notice how I don’t beat around the bush.

But for you, it is a different matter. I am very wary of people that advocate extreme, broad sweeping actions. I have seen too many such people make grand statements one day, and then the next change their minds completely.

Not to worry. I’m consistant. Unlike almost every Israel politician whose been inconsistant in the opposite direction. Hence where we are today.

To advocate deportation on a massive scale when there may not even be a need for it, sets off all my alarm bells.

Let’s see…. was it 84% of the Arabs recently polled who thought the Massacre of teenage Yeshiva boys in Merkav Harav was a swell idea?

No need for it? Deporting them to China isn’t good enough.

As you can see from my post, I have no problem with the concept or practice when it is absolutely necessary. But this is not an idea to be talked about lightly. And as Jews this is certainly so, as we suffered a great deal from anti-semites that encouraged our expulsion from lands too numerous to count on this very basis.

Did we butcher our hosts, wish to suck the blood out of them? Throw them into the sea? Impose religious servitude upon them?

How dare you suggest there’s a comparison. Shame on you!

Too many stages. It will give enough time for too many people to wise up and lie through their teeth as to their true allegiences. You cannot correctly make the distinctions.

Of course, it is easy for me to make these suggestions. For one thing, I am not in power, so none of the responsibility for it working is my problem. For another, I don’t have to implement it.

We can only express our will here. If enough people will read, argue, think and draw conclusions, it might actually lead to eventual practical changes. That’s what blogs are for.

The only honest advice, that is, practical advice would be this – Ahava/Emuna. For Hashem, for yourself, your neighbor, and yes, even for the lunatic fellow who thinks the Peace Process has any chance of working. This is really the most important thing.

There are limits. There are those who through their support and actions have caused the deaths and maimings of their own people. Some such folk have glossed over the effects of their ideologies, others actually couldn’t care less.

When major changes come, I hope so will judgement. As far as I’m concerned, Ehud Olmert and Tali Fahima can share the same neuce. Maybe that’s what the new Jerusalem bridge will be good for. Plenty of room for the rest. Finally, our tax shekels at work!
