Turner Screws Tighter, Cause He’s Got One Loose
In an interview for Charlie Rose’s PBS show, CNN founder Ted Turner shows how compatible with ex-wife ‘Hanoi’ Jane Fonda he really was.
For instance, here’s his thoughts on what will happen if global warming is not addressed immediately:
We’ll be eight degrees hottest in ten, not ten but 30 or 40 years and basically none of the crops will grow. Most of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals.
And here’s what he thinks of the terrorists killing US soldiers in Iraq:
I think that they’re patriots and that they don’t like us because we’ve invaded their country and occupied it. I think if the Iraqis were in Washington, D.C., we’d be doing the same thing: we’d be bombing them too. Nobody wants to be invaded.
Here’s the interview for your viewing (dis)pleasure:

If the insurgents in Iraq weren’t so busy attacking one another and were united under a single government there would be some semblance of an argument that they were operating from “nationalist” or “patriotic” sentiments. Since, however, they attack one another based on sect and clan for the purpose of controlling little, autonomous regions in the manner of gangster, satraps, and petty tyrants, they can quite correctly be referred to as fascist terrorists. Each of the battling sects would be perfectly happy to have a US presence in the country if it were directed toward settling there centuries old rivalries and present viscissitudes, but, since the US wants them to form a democratic government where their enemies would have an equal voice, they seek to strew mayhem at all of their enemies, perceived or otherwise.
“I think if the Iraqis were in Washington, D.C., we’d be doing the same thing: we’d be bombing them too.”
Yes, I can imagine American patriots fighting their new Iraqi masters by bombing churches and marketplaces filled with Americans.
“Nobody wants to be invaded.”
I grew up in West-Berlin. Thanks for the American invasion were always in my prayers.
At his age Turner would be one tough chew, but to be on the safe side, put me down for a leg and a wing.
“Each of the battling sects would be perfectly happy to have a US presence in the country if it were directed toward settling there centuries old rivalries and present viscissitudes”
Maybe the US should take sides?
Would be fun, wouldn’t it? Liberal opinion can easily be steered by fundamentalist propaganda. Let’s just announce that the Sunnis/Shiites/Wahhabis/chess-players/nudists are right and hence the US will do what they want to reach victory for the forces of good over the Shiiites/Sunnis/other Wahhabi sect/checkers-players/bearded freaks.
The Communist News Network is not worth watching. Watch Fox. Both cnn and the bbc are leftist garbage and both are anti-Semites. There’s nothing properly Western that will make those vermin happy. The are the classical saloon leftist. That’s why Fox has so many more viewers. Fortunately people have not yet been so stultified so as to prefer a leftist goon from cnn or the bbc in large numbers.
Any decent Iraqi (is there such a thing?) would be grateful as one can be of the presence of Americans and the fact that they have been given their freedom back. There’s no greater gift a human can give to another than to free him from oppression. If I was Iraqi I would build such a monument to the American soldier that it would become the biggest marvel on Earth.
As to global warmicism it is just another wacko religion founded by the left in the West that just has too much time and money on their hands because they enjoy the freedoms and conveniences of the West while all the time attacking these very freedoms they enjoy and doing their best to destroy them.
