It's as if the only way the arabs can convey anything to each other, use examples, adjectives, or similes, are to always put it in terms of Israel and Jews. How very colourful.
One thing I read somewhere was talking about the wests inaction on anything, and said the Arab League will end up doing nothing. I guess they did do it. Nothing.

Even before clicking on "one respect," I knew you were going to say 'coma.'

And, the other thing I noticed? Hmm? Bush is in Riyadh, now. Meeting with the saudi king. And, I'll guess the same anti-Israel schtick is being played, loud and clear.

You want oil prices to come down, Mr. Bush? Well, shrink Israel to fit into it's 1948 borders.

Bush, meanwhile says nothing. Instead? He talks of his daughter's wedding. And, the rule he put into place, that nothing, not even war, was going to interfere with it.

So? Lebanon went up in smoke.

As to the future, if you look very closely, you'll see Nasrallah used up a lot of tires. And, ammunition. But all the two sides really did was play "charades of war." How do I know? Well, Saniora gave the order to the Army general (Suilamen, "soil-a-men?")to fight. And, instead, he got a response that said: "Oh, yeah? I'll tell the army to return to their barracks, first."

So, with no side doing defense of Lebanon, the sunnis, there, went crazy. And, with fear, too. While Nasrallah supposedly "strengthened."

I'm more impressed with Bush for doing nothing. If we're lucky? In time the saud's will swing from their own petards.
