I was completely unaware of Voights serious support of the state of Israel.

But it reminded me of something. Voight played Maj. Gen. Jürgen Stroop, in the fantastic 2001 mini-series “Uprising”, about the Warsaw ghetto.

I wonder if he choose this project because of his convictions, or if this is part of what made him understand the issue so deeply.
