One thing about the kefiya being used as a symbol of pro-Palestinian or pro-ARab nationalism that I find odd. I know there’s a passage in Deuteronomy where G*d instructs that you shall where a garment with fringes and tassels in the corners. Is there a corresponding passage in the Qu’ran, or is this just another blatant case of cultural appropriation that the masses are oblivious to? (I recently saw a picture of a Yemenite rabbi on the Point of No Return (Mizrahi Jewish) website, who wore around his neck a scarf that most would mistake for a kefeya.”
