Another day, anothermysterious explosion.”

An unidentified citizen was killed and 16 others wounded, two of them seriously, in a mysterious explosion at the house of a Hamas member in central Gaza City on Saturday morning.

Residents reported that a large explosion rocked Gaza City at 7:15am on Saturday. According to eyewitnesses, the explosion took place at the house of Nader Abu Sha’ban, a Hamas member, in the Al-Fawakhir region of central Gaza City.

Dr Muawiyah Hassanein, director of ambulance and emergency services at the Ministry of Health, said that the dead body was taken from the house and the other 16 causalities were taken to hospital. Those injured are members of the household and neighbours. He reported that two of the injured are in serious condition.

The Palestinian security forces and police are examining the causes of the incident.

I really hope they conclude the examination soon because the suspense is killing me.
