The “Peace Index” – Moonbattery Masquerading As Statistics

Yesterday a group called the “Economist Intelligence Unit” came out with a ranking of world countries based on how “peaceful” they are. The US came in 97th out of 140 countries, and Israel came in 136th. It was heavily covered in newspapers worldwide.
They have a very elaborate methodology, taking into account many different factors. The [...]

Blair Hitch: Much Ado About Nothing

The Times Online is running a report under the ominous headline:
How Israeli fighter pilots threatened to blast Tony Blair’s jet out of sky
Only when you read the report do you see that the Israeli pilots made no such threat. Rather, they flew above Blair’s aircraft to indicate to the pilot that he was considered a [...]

Calling All Star Wars Fans

This is a must-see.

I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time.

Palestinian Teamwork

With the palestinians at each other’s throats (let alone ours), it is good to see that palestinians affiliated with their moderate leader Mahmoud Abbas are leading the way in showing what can be achieved with some good old fashioned cooperation.
A Palestinian truck bomber attacked a key border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Israel early [...]

Disproportionate Israeli Response

But this time, no-one was complaining.
Road workers in a small New Zealand town got their wish granted when a woman stripped saying she was fed up with their wolf-whistles.
The Israeli tourist was about to use an ATM in the main street of Kerikeri, in the far north of the country, when the men whistled, the [...]

Terrorism Pays…Well

Question: You were a terrorist who undertook combat training with al Qaeda and served with the Taliban. What’s your punishment?
Answer: At least one million dollars.
Former Guantanamo Bay detainee David Hicks will go from broke to millionaire overnight if he accepts the latest mega-offer to tell his story.
Channel 9’s 60 Minutes has put $1million on the [...]

French Court of Appeals Gets it Right

It’s a good day for truth, justice and the American way with the French Court of Appeals overturning last year’s judgment against Philippe Karsenty (that’s him to the left of me in the picture), who was found liable for “insulting” France 2 TV and reporter Charles Enderlin, after he wrote an article claiming the Mohammed [...]

Lame Palestinian Excuse of the Day

Despite the fact that a terrorist group has admitted that the palestinian man killed at Hawara checkpoint on Monday afternoon was intending to blow the soldiers to kingdom come, his parents have a different take.
You see, he wasn’t carrying explosives. It was really a mobile phone.
A really big one.
With a heck of a loud timer.
The [...]

Taking the Strip Out of Gaza

Ynet reports:
Islamist group Hamas has told the main Palestinian telecoms company to block access to pornographic Internet sites in the Gaza Strip, a Hamas government official said on Monday.
Gaza’s Ministry of Communications said in a statement that telecommunications firm PALTEL has agreed to block Internet users in the Hamas-controlled coastal enclave from viewing adult websites [...]

It Happened at the Checkpoint

More Israeli checkpoint brutality yesterday with the IDF killing a 16-year-old palestinian.
The poor youth was obviously so driven to despair by his demeaning treatment at the checkpoint, that he decided to blow himself up. And the IDF wouldn’t even grant him that right.
The Israel Defense Forces killed an armed Palestinian man at the Hawara checkpoint [...]
