The question is whether they constitute "torture" or just unpleasant embarrassing methods of fighting a dirty war. Example- "incontinence during detention." Being denied bathroom access is a standard first line technique. Very embarrassing, very degrading, not physically damaging in any way. Is it torture? Mental pressure technique, yes. Physical pain and physical damage, no. Similarly for sleep deprivation. BTW, these techniques are not exclusive to PA targets, but used on Jewish targets as well. This is not speculation. It politicizes a "no kidding" issue. I think most sane people are against torture because it dehumanizes and ruins our society. It definitely works, in the short term at least, but in the long term it's a social disaster. Personally, I could care less about the suffering of some terrorist scumbag.
