Dear Dave

I wish you a long life. I lost my father to natural causes and then very soon afterwards a brother in a tragic accident.

I know it’s a cliche to say so, and perhaps meaningless to you at this time, but life really is for the living. What got me through was being secure in the knowledge that both my father and brother would want me to be strong and lead a full and happy life.

I am so sorry, Dave, even though it means your father is no longer suffering……..I, too, lost my father, albeit 17 1/2 years ago…..still grieve, as in wanting to share things with him…..

(I came over here, to see what you’d have to say about what streaked across Israel tonight…..I didn’t know about your father ’til now….)
