A Big Thank You
I have just risen from the Jewish mourning period of Shiva, and wanted to personally thank all you who expressed your condolences and words of support. I would also like to thank those of you who kindly took the time to include my father in your prayers during his illness. Your support gave my family and I strength during this very difficult time.
Over the next weeks, I plan on including some more personal posts and stories about my father, in addition to the usual fare. I think you will agree he was a truly remarkable man.
Regarding my blogging future, I have no plans to quit in the near future. In fact, I am more determined to really make a difference. I am not going to be content maintaining the current level of traffic – I need to reach more people. Sure, there are plenty of other blogs in support of Israel and the Jewish people – some with a far greater reach – but I truly believe Israellycool has a unique style.
If you also believe in the future of this blog, then I’m going to need your help. Please help spread the word, whether it be on forums, social networking platforms, or emails to family and friends. My target is to double my daily traffic by the end of the year. It’s definitely going to be a challenge, but I know it is possible with your help.

Sorry to hear about your the loss of your father.
My prayers.
My condolences on the passing of your father. Mine died 14 yrs ago and I still think of him every single day. Losing a parent is a very tough loss, they are the only two people on earth who will love you no matter what you do, forever.
May he rest in peace.
I too lost my dad to PC 9 years ago as he fought the disease proudly as I am sure your dad did as well..As time fades away only the happiest memories of him remain …G-d Bless him and your entire family
Uh, yeah, “unique style” all right. Just one of the things we blog fans love about you Dave.
I did not want to say it in your absence, didn’t feel right somehow, but my condolences on the passing of your father, Dave. God bless you, and may He give you the strength to bear this terrible loss.
Welcome back, Dave.
Your different voice is also welcome and allows me to sometimes link other people to information they would otherwise never get, without inspiring a flame war.
Although many of the issues explored here are existential, they lie behind a wall of political correctness for some people. Levity helps bust down walls like those.
Dave,
I want to express my condolences on the loss of your father. . .
Thank you for sharing your father’s story in his own words.
Thank you also for returning to continue your wonderful blog!!!
