As I commented on the related blog, about the victims, the victims seem to get lost, especially where the media is concerned. Unless the victim, or victim's family, makes a concerted effort to stay in the public eye, which many understandably don't want to do, all that's left for the media as a 'fresh story' is whatever the criminal is doing. at least, and this is mighty small consolation to anyone, it's being publicized that he's being released.
