LIla and Dave,

My local paper had an article in the online version and a quick paragraph in the print version. The online version had 5 photographs; the one of Samir Kantar was a very sympathetic photo of him wiping away a tear.

I sent them links to the photos of Kantar "saluting" from dailylife.com. Dailylife shows the wire service and, when available, the name of the photographer. I'll let you know if anything comes of it. I'm not holding my breath.

Some additional pictures for you (the top one is the same as the photo above):

this is by no means unintended. It's Hizbollah's style of salute.

Why isn't this kind of picture on the front page of the NYT and other MSM rags? Oh, wait, we can't show unrepentant Jew-killers as bad guys -- that would be taking sides and would destroy the whole "tit-for-tat" "cycle-of-violence" pablum they've been cramming into our every orifice. After all, who are we to judge? Uh, never mind.

Also, Dave, I would like to see a reference to where this picture comes from. Who snapped the photo? Which wire service? Anything else that would prevent an editor from questioning its veracity, copyright, etc? I would like to forward it on to my local paper just to see if it gets published.
