		<description>Dad definitely read books like that, and had an extensive collection, including Herman Wouk&#039;s The Hope and the Glory (2 of my favorites) and the biographies of Moshe Dayan, Menachem Begin and Golda Meir. He loved the idea that the Jews rose from the ashes of the Holocaust and were now able to defend themselves.

My dad was a committed Zionist, and it is no coincidence that I ended up in Israel.</description>
