Vote From Israel

I don’t normally post advertisements, but from time to time I will if I think it’s important enough.

In this case, I would like to pass on this message from Vote from Israel.

Vote From Israel is a non-partisan, nonprofit dedicated to getting Americans in Israel to Vote in the upcoming US elections for President.

To vote from overseas, you MUST be registered. If you aren’t registered, you can’t vote. Period.

Registration ends October 6, 2008. In other words, in a week.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go to the website.
  2. Enter your name.
  3. Download the PDF form.
  4. Print it out.
  5. Fill it out and sign it.
  6. Drop it off at one of the drop-off points around the country (listed at the site) by October 6.

If it isn’t dropped off, you can’t vote!

I am not going to tell you who to vote for – that is your decision (and I think you could guess who that would be) – but I do think it is important to vote in these US elections.

I know if I was American, I would be doing just that.

Damn right this is an important election for Americans! In fact, I'm flying back to the states specifically to vote on November 4th!

    That's the spirit!

  3. Justabranch says:

I was supposed to be in Haifa on 4 Nov, but have changed my plans so I can be in the States on Election Day. There is no way we should let Obama win by not voting. McCain/Palin all the way!

You can sign up at either AACI on Keren Hayesod, or Nefesh B'Nefesh in Givat Shaul too. No matter who you fancy (or are willing to settle for) you should let your voice be heard!

  5. Trish says:

If you do this, be sure you get drop it off on time. Absentee votes that are submitted late are absolutely not counted.

  6. Abe Bird says:

Can't you vote in the US embassy in Tel Aviv?

  7. MsMissive says:

No. But they will assist in registering as an overseas voter. Email me at contact@patriotmissive.com and I'll forward you an email I received from the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv.
