The Day In Israel: Fri May 22nd, 2009

Click refresh to see new updates during the day

Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen said yesterday that the consequences of Iran acquiring a nuclear weapon would be “calamitous” and that major powers must join hands and act to prevent it.

Which is good, because I was getting the feeling the Obama administration would rather we join hands and sing Kumbaya.

Updates (Israel time; most recent at top)

2:26PM: Hizbullah believes that Israel is planning to kill their leader, Hassan Nasrallah.

No doubt he will be making an extra effort to hide himself underground or amongst civilians.

11:32AM: What a voice. Although at around 2:00 minutes into the performance, the pope does not look very moved.

Perhaps if fellow Semite Adam Lambert performed for the pope, the latter would show more emotion.

8:50AM: The IDF has turned 2 more terrorists into worm food.

I’m hoping they were Hamasholes so they appear on the Hamas website in the martyrs section, as future grist for my mill.

6:05AM:

Ahh yes, the running of the pole. WTF?

I guess it could come in handy one day, like jumping through flaming hoops.
