While promoting his new movie Edge of Darkness, Mel Gibson said people should just let his drunken, anti-Semitic rant of 2006 go.
“It’s said that I went into a rant, but I think it went on for about five words,” he said. “I was drunk. It just turned into a big thing. I apologized – not once, three times. So what’s the problem? It’s four years ago. Do I need to apologize again?”
Some of you may feel this is a reasonable response. But the real question is has Mel Gibson really seen the error of his ways? And was his rant just the silliness of a drunk man, or indicative of very real anti-Semitism?
Here’s another interview of Gibson promoting Edge of Darkness which I believe answers these questions.
