They set up simulated "checkpoints", and harrass anyone trying to pass. Don't know if anyone simulated smuggling in a bomb, but THAT would probably get them in trouble.

It's not just speakers. Unfortunately, all the incidents described were in Canada, as opposed to here. So far, I havent seen such psychosis here, but considering the foothold the PCRF got this year, it's only a matter of time. Funny you never see Jews engaging in such activities...

Our college newspaper just had an opinion letter about pro-terrorist thugs shouting down, harrassing, and assaulting Israel-related speakers. I often think we need to reform the student visa program; the problem is that it will hurt the religious minorities who use it as a way to get out and eventually become refugees. The worst case I know of was in Canada, where an old man, a holocaust survivor, was kicked in the privates by one of these "youths". Remeber that the pogroms in Poland were often started by university students. Education can decrease prejudice, but it can also do the opposite.

It's a lot worse for the Jewish students at some of these campuses. They send their children to the best schools in the West to do what?!!? Obtain an education and then return to their Arab countries to help their own people? No, some use this opportunity to get a great education and instead decide to stomp on their host's civility and hospitality by disrupting an invited honored guest's speech. These Arab youth would not dare to act up in their own countries. They know what would happen in response to such behaviour.

This is another example of the "cream" of Arab society rising to the top.
