Remote controlled toys with cameras were developed by Israel 30 years ago and used in the First Lebanon War. At that time, they were considered a major technological advance.

Let's see, that's 5 in the morning my time. Hmmmm, not sure I can make it but I'll try. So this UAV is something developed by the IDF? Sounds like it might be similar to our Predator drones which have been picking off the leadership of Al Qaeda and the Taliban (and some unfortunate misfires killing civilians as well) in Pakistan the last few years. This seems to be a more effective way of fighting Al Qaeda, anyway. Why send 30,000 more American soldiers to Afghanistan when you can apply effective technical support to friendly local Afghans and Pakistanis who now see it as in their own self-interests to defeat Al Qaeda and the Taliban.
