The Sun Beats Down On The Jews

The Sun (and others) reports:

Militants warn Leo girlfriend

JEWISH militants have ordered supermodel BAR REFAELI not to marry lover LEONARDO DICAPRIO.

Israeli Bar, 24, has been warned marrying the actor will dilute her Jewish race.

In a letter to the beauty, nationalist group Lehava wrote: “It is not by chance you were born Jewish.

“Your grandmother and her grandmother did not dream one of their descendants would remove future generations from the Jewish people.”

He added: “Come to your senses. Don’t marry Leonardo DiCaprio.”

The US hunk and Bar, who began dating in 2005, are an item again after splitting late last year.

Assuming the report is true, we all know the word “militants” is applied euphemistically by the media to terrorists. As in people who target and murder innocent people to achieve their goals. There is no evidence in the report that this group threatened Bar Refaeli in any way.

Not only that, but The Sun has purposely painted this group as racists with the mention of race dilution. Yet the alleged group’s words indicate a concern for the continuity of the Jewish people, rather than some Nazi-esque notion of racial purity.

True, The Sun is known for sensationalizing, but that does not make this example of media bias any less disgusting.

Update: Interestingly enough, The Sun has another report on this entitled Model told ‘don’t marry’ DiCaprio, with slightly less inflammatory wording.

ISRAELI (instead of Jewish – ed) militants have ordered Bar Refaeli not to betray her grandparents by marrying boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio.

The supermodel, 24, has been warned she will dilute her race if she marries outside of her religion.

  1. her children and Decaprio's will be no more or less Jewish then Rabbi Akiva.

…that is not the issue. the issue is that Leonardo's values and movie choices such as the one he did with Ridley Scott have poor values. We already have these types of Jews… I wouldn't want more of them. Ridley Scott has a quite sarcastic take on religion. Decaprio's closeness is disturbing. their children might be Jewish technically… but I doubt they will want to be Jewish. we might just Hollywood ourselves out of existence… it isn't that the children would not be Jewish. that isn't how it works. it is that they might not be good Jews.. I may not agree with other Jews… but they are still Jews.

I can't understand, there are thousand of gorgeous Israeli men, why can't she fall in love with one of them? Oh, she is Hollywood hypnotized. It's all about her and her career, desire to be rich and famous. And why the hell is Shimon standing their with them like they should be celebrated? HE should be ashamed of himself.

Marian I complete agree she seems to be a very career orientated person, no more needs to be said

It is racist. They imply Jewishness is blood born and that a little bit of gentile DNA will dilute or destroy it. The kids don't get a choice apparently: Even if they're "full Jew" on their mother's side they're out of luck, no amount of prayer or studying of the Torah is going to make a difference.

Or is it that they will get non-Jewish ideas from their father? Is Judaism really so weak that kids need to be exposed to nothing else until they're adults?

It's definitely sexist. In the minds of these kinds of people (And I include Marian in that) women exist purely to perpetuate "the race." She's just a baby factory.

These sexist and racist lines sound like every nationalist, fascist and religious fanatic I ever heard. Nazis too though I prefer to avoid breaking Godwin's law.

As for the militant bit, yes it is a word they throw around a bit too easily. But maybe they just looked at Baruch Marzel's biography in which case it seems a fair enough use of the word to me.

"I can't understand, there are thousand of gorgeous Israeli men, why can't she fall in love with one of them?"

Someone who doesn't know what love is. You don't get to choose dear. What do those thousands of men have that makes them more special than anyone else anyway?

"it is that they might not be good Jews.. I may not agree with other Jews… but they are still Jews. "

When did God empower you as a prophet to decide who is and isn't Jewish?

Isn't genetic diversity generally considered a good thing? The Irish are a pretty hearty lot because, over the last few centuries, they tended to screw anything that moved. Otherwise I think you just end up with a lot of genetic in-breeding, like a race of French poodles.
