I had always heard about the complete halting of society, but never actually saw it. That's amazing how on a highway, it just gets frozen in time. I showed it to a Muslim pro-Arab friend and she was amazed.

I had been hypothesizing since the election that LIkud was becoming the new left as Labour and Kadima wither away. I speculated Yisrael Beitenu would become the new right, but that still doesnt seem quite 'right'. YB isnt really right or left on that issue, as I see it.

"Classified documents reveal that the Israel Defense Forces had committed war crimes in the West Bank, Anat Kam, the former soldier indicted for espionage over an alleged theft of top secret material, told the court earlier in the year, according to police documents released allowed for publication Monday at the request of Haaretz"

Note the slant here. The sense of the paragraph is that war crimes were actually committed, not that someone claims they were. It's all in how you do the lead.

One could imagine a more pro-Israel paper writing:

"Police documents show that Anat Kam admitted stealing and distributing sensitive military information. She claims she did this because they show war crimes, and she wanted to get the proof out."

I agree but it still stands that I want to know what exactly it is to be able to discuss it without sounding like a xenophobic, "elder of Zion".

Especially since anti-semitic websites have taken the article and ran with it.
