History Lessons Can Be So Entertaining
Let’s imagine for a minute that I decided to cause a little mischief. Let’s say I started a rumor that Arabs in Jaffa were beating up little old Jewish women for kicks and that it would be a damn good idea if a group got together and went and beat up a few Arabs in Jaffa. Now lets say that happened and 67 Arabs were killed and another 435 Arabs were saved because a few good Jews helped them.
And lets say this became a regular sort of thing and that the authorities eventually said to the Arabs there (who’d been there for years) it would be better if they just moved out because their presence there, among the Jews, was inflammatory.
Well that’s exactly what happened in Hebron some 80 years ago. Though, obviously, it was the Arabs killing the Jews and the authorities in this case were the British.
Is it any wonder that most of the Jews, who had lived continuously in Hebron for literally thousands of years, left.
Which is why the BBC can now write the following:
Hebron is home to about 160,000 Muslims, but some 500 Israeli settlers live in the centre of the city with a heavy Israeli security detail.
Well yes, BBC, the British policy of appeasing Islamic violence forced the Jews to leave. It’s actually worse than that and I’ll quote from Wikipedia (not because it is a good source, but because it is generally so skewed anti-Israel that if this is in it, it must be true!)”
The survivors were evacuated from Hebron by the British authorities. Many returned in 1931, but almost all left again during 1936–1939.[4] It also led to the re-organization and development of the Jewish paramilitary organization, the Haganah, which later became the nucleus of the Israel Defense Forces.
So the reason the BBC can now write that there are hardly any Jews in the ancient Jewish biblical city of Hebron, home of the Tomb of the Patriarchs, is that the British were complicit in allowing Islam to force them all out!
So just remember that when you’re watching Israeli soldiers having a bit of a laugh in Hebron!

Well said.
I remember going to hebron right before the intifada. We were given a tour of the hadassah hospital and afterward toured the city a little. I saw many jews walking around and living there. I could be mistaken as it was a long time ago but I still remember seeing this old guy tell a group of little kids some biblical story. And they were sitting in the very heart of hebron!
So although there was a time period where jews did not live there, there have always been time periods in the history of israel where jews did not live there. But jews kept going back. Hebron is one of the many cities that I don't see a reason for there to be an issue of jews living there since we have a rich historical heritage in hebron. Give the arabs nazareth, I don't care, but lay off our jerusalem, hebron, and for that matter, beit lechem. Rachel is CLEARLY our matriarch since all of Isaac's wives contributed to the jewish people. I get it if they want to share hebron, but they have NO right to take our beit lechem.
When Israel re-captured Chevron in '67, a Jewish man appeared there with the original deed to the Hadassah Hospital building. I think he may even have been there when it was acquired under the Turks. At that time, our authorities did not listen to him.
Y'know, I was thinking over the week-end. You know those people who appear with those huge keys they say was the key to their house in "Palestine". Wouldn't prop-key manufacture be a great business opportunity?
Yes there are so many arguments against them or can prove the keys vindicate Israel. I ouldnt surprise me if they were fabricated though.
You know, there are Jews with keys too.
what happened in chevron proves that arab hate towards jews has nothing to do with zionism
the jews who massacred in chevron were not zionists…they were yeshiva bochrm and other charedim
A Muslim once told me the Arabs "knew what the filthy Zionists were up to" meaning the greater Israel shtick.
The perfect reason why Muslims cannot be trusted with their minority populations – which is why we need a state.
A moving documentary on the massacre here:

Very touching, particularly this time of year.
