I think someone here said that IDF wouldnt even use a Galil in that situation. And honestly I dont trust this show to have any intent on accuracy of facts.

"Navy SEAL veteran Rob Roy and Israeli Commando Mike Kanarek had to fire 30 rounds at a slowly moving pig carcass attached to a moving dolly without hitting gel torsos, which represented innocent bystanders. Using his Colt, Roy was able to hit the pig all 30 times, while Kanarek’s Galil didn’t hit the mark on nine of the 30 shots."

Coming from a Marine family, I have never heard of Marine infantry being called elite. We do boast about being better trained and longer trained than the US Army however unlike the original US Marines, we've become standard infantry in Iraq and Afghanistan. The real elites in the Marine Corps is FORECON or Force Recon companies. There training is amazing.

What gets me is that as far as I can tell, this show is pitting the average IDF soldier, calling him a commando, and pitting him against the second best soldier in the US, first being black ops. That already is a boost saying that Israel's average soldier is definitely better than an average american soldier. Either way, this episode is a big PR win for Israel
