See my collection of hava nagillas: http://labrusca.blogspot.com/2010/04/hava-nagila-…
Thanks! That is quite a collection
I don't know if its strictly a Christian tradition, but most weddings I've been to have Wagner's "Bridal Chorus" from the opera "Lohengrin" at the start and Felix Mendelssohn's "Triumphal March" from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" to close. With same-sex marriage a real possibility now all across America, the Village People might reform and do a cover of Hava Nagila for this special event.
I don't know if it's recent or not, but in many weddings I have attended, Wagner has been replaced by Jeremiah Clarke's "Trumpet Voluntary."
Very nice, but in Bollywood productions, it's echo chambers gone wild.
It was fun liked it
