Terror Attack

At least 4 Israelis – including a pregnant woman – have been murdered in a terror attack.

According to initial reports, an Israeli vehicle traveling in the area came under fire directed at it from a passing vehicle at the Beni Naim junction on Highway 60.

More than one terrorist apparently took part in the attack, which security officials say was a well-planned ambush. Channel Two said the attackers apparently confirmed the death of the Israeli victims before fleeing the scene.

The victims’ death was pronounced by medical personnel at the scene. One of the victims was a pregnant woman, officials said.

Security forces and Magen David Adom ambulances rushed to the scene. Palestinian security forces were also informed of the attack, which took place just as the Ramadan fast was ending, and are looking into the incident.

I believe the timing is no coincidence. The palestinians are constantly perpetrating such attacks when”peace” talks are about to begin.

Update: Ha’arez reports that the victims were all members of the same family: two men aged 25 and 40 and two women, also aged 25 and 40.

Update: One of the victims reportedly had a license for a firearm that was suspended shortly before the attack.

Update: The PA is blaming Hamas, Hamas is being coy, and the PRC has stated it was a message to the palestinian negotiating team ahead of the resumption of direct talks (as I initially surmised).

Palestinian security forces were also informed of the attack, which took place just as the Ramadan fast was ending, and are looking into the incident. A Palestinian security official said that a Hamas cell is believed to be behind the lethal attacks. He noted that the last attack in the Hebron region, which left an Israeli police officer killed, was also the work of Hamas.

Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum told Ynet the attack was not meant to foil direct peace talks, and said the negotiations had failed even before starting.

“This is a natural response by the Palestinian resistance to the enemy’s crimes, and is proof that despite the resistance’s persecution by the security services and despite Israel’s crimes, the Palestinians are capable of responding to these crimes.”

“This is proof that the Palestinian resistance is living, breathing, and kicking,” he said.

Addressing the Palestinian Authority’s estimate that Hamas was behind the attack, Barhoum said: “Things are not as they were described by the Authority’s security forces.”

Meanwhile, the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) told Ynet Tuesday’s shooting attack was a message to the Palestinian negotiating team ahead of the resumption of direct talks with Israel.

“They should not have embarked on this move without the support of the Palestinian people,” PRC Spokesman Abu Mujahid said. “Our people still espouse the resistance and do not believe in the fictitious talks scheduled to commence tomorrow. “

  1. The Truth says:

    Kahane Tzadak

    • Michael Zvi krumbein says:

I tremble as I write this, but I do not see where Kahane comes in here, unless these Arabs were citizens of Israel.

  2. Shy Guy says:

    Rav Ovadya Yosef was wrong.

    G-d shouldn't kill them.

    We should.

This is what we get for removing roadblocks. Yes, one was removed earlier this year in the area of the attack.

    • Michael Zvi krumbein says:

      Boruch Dayan Emes.

Perhaps you should list the people who pushed removing the roadblocks. Obama? Barak? Netanyahu? The jewel of our "democracy", our wonderful Supreme Court?

Oh, aren't we wonderful, tolerant people! I'm sure the survivng members of the family will take comfort in the fact that they made life easier for our enemies.

I'd better not continue. I'm falling apart.

    may their blood be avenged

    i just heard about this

only because of the internet….the msm here in the states is silent….as usual, they dont care when jews are slaughtered

no peace….expel all the arabs from the land

    • juvanya says:

      Yeah.

I would keep the Arabs that follow UNSC 194 and Bereishiyt 12:3.

      • Michael Zvi krumbein says:

You are including the citizens, I assume?

        • juvanya says:

Keep them all? Or just the ones that follow?
I dont see why we should keep Zoabi types.

          • Michael Zvi krumbein says:

Well, if you include the citizens, then you are following Meir Kahane's plan. Which, if advocated by a party, will get it banned from the Kenesset. It may be illegal to advocate it; I'm unsure. Of course, there would be a heck of a lot of people in jail if they actually enforced that.

There are plenty of existing laws for Zoabi. But how would you keep people from lying? For that matter, isn't that more extreme than, say, the PATRIOT act?

            • juvanya says:

It cant be banned if we keep friendly Arabs, can it?

Not really. It doesnt directly involve surveillance.

              • Michael Zvi krumbein says:

Look, the law was likely passed because it looked like his party would get more seats. Whatever our secular preisthood declares is racist will be banned. This is referred to here as "democratia", which is often the exact opposite of "democracy".

His license was suspended? So who else is now an accomplice? The Jewish Section of the Shin-Bet? The Media?

  5. Jim from Iowa says:

I just got back from out of town and have only now heard this terrible news. I am deeply saddened by this terrorist act and hope their families can be comforted and supported by others who love them.

and thats right..i called them filthy arabs

and those bastards in gaza are lucky that im not running the country, because i would push the button and nuke them all

and please notice that there are children among those that are celebrating

    nuke them all

    • Michael Zvi krumbein says:

I think it would be better to make Rav Yosef's distinction and say "Filthy Palestinians", but I know what you mean.

We are going to read it on the first day of Rosh HaShana you know –

Garesh at ben HaAmah HaZot V'et B'nah, ki lo yirash ben haAmah HaZot, im b'ni, im Yitzchak. Amen Kein Y'hi Ratzon.
