Top Ten BDS Protest Fails

We’ve seen more and more of these spectacles over the past year, so I’ve decided to create a top ten list of the worst of the worst.

#10: Cape Town Opera, Tel Aviv, November 2010

Israelis singing and dancing badly.

#9: Follow Me Flashmob, Netherlands, March 2010

Unimaginative flash mob with usual assortment of young hippies and old codgers, made worse by puke green shirts and weird mime-like poses. On the plus side, no attempt to sing or dance.

#8: Philly BDS Flashdance, October 2010

Beanpole nerd in sequin top, butch women, and a horrendous lack of singing or dancing talent.

#7: BBC Headquarters Wales, December 2008

Supergluing themselves seemed like good idea at the time.

#6: Tesco Wales, 2009

So did stealing goods.

#5: Ahava, Washington DC, March 2010

Ugly Code Pinkers in bath robes. Need I say any more.

#4: Starbucks, Cairo, 2010

Unimaginative, seemingly unprepared and about as bored as everyone else subjected to watching them.

#3: Israel Ballet, Maryland, February 2010

Old men in ballet tutus, horrendous puns and attempts at rhyme, climaxing in off-key singing.

#2: Best Buy, November 2009

Unattractive David and Victoria Beckham impersonators, coupled with horrendous Spice Girl vocals.

#1: Assorted Businesses, NYC, July 2010

Awful acting, awful singing, awful dancing. And not just confined to the one place.

By the way,  pro-Israel activists in the US are planning a massive national “Buy Israel Goods (BIG)” campaign next Tuesday and hope it will continue every day. Go here to find stores in different areas that carry Israeli products.

  1. Make it (BDS) go away. I wonder what they have in store for us on the biggest shopping day in America, Black Friday? The thought is simply horrifying. I'll be thankful when there are no more BDS flahmob videos.

  2. I take these people seriously. A world movement boycotting Israel is a real possibility. And it would do serious damage to Israel, and Jews in general.

    1. True, but these people deserve to be mocked and derided. More importantly. those who care for Israel should support the Buycott I mentioned.

BTW, Stan, we haven't seen u in these parts for a while. Nice 2 have u back.

    2. stan,

the only country whose exports are currently being boycotted are the us of a's

go check out our trade deficit

nobody, except for a few ugly and stupid people, are boycotting israeli products

  3. Btw, don't wanna be shallow or judgmental or anything, but I bet a lot of the women in those videos are also die-hard feminists. Which is puzzling when you think that they're protesting against the ONLY country in that area that fully supports gender equality. Heck, you guys had a woman head of state before most Western countries. It's funny how those women just don't realize what they're supporting, and what life for women over there would be if their beloved Hamas were to take control of that entire area. Or maybe they just don't care or bother to think about all the consequences of their "vision", since they're living in their cozy democratic Western countries.
This reminds me of a friend I had back in the day. He was a skinny shy guy, afraid of his own shadow, but big supported of anarchy. He was always preaching how states should disappear and the world should be a "dog eat dog" place. I laughed and told him… "you do realize that if your dream were ever to come true, a frail guy like you would be amongst the first to be raped or killed be a stronger 'dog', right? ". Sometimes you just gotta think real hard about what you're wishing for!

    Cheers,
    Bob in Montreal

  4. Do they realize that when it says the product is from the west bank, it probably was grown by palestinians? aka the people they are trying to help? So by stealing the products and defacing them, they are not only commiting a crime but they are stealing from the people that they want to help. The pure idiocy just makes me want to hurl.

    1. The palis are fully supportive of this movement. One must remember the palis under Israeli occupation are a captive market. There is nothing free there, israel controls everything.
Since israel is basically a colonial enterprise, it needs a colonial sponser to survive. If the BDS movement grows and gather enough support to influence Americas political elite, well its all over for the jewish state. No US dollars means no Jewish state. BYE BYE.

  5. They may be failing at the moment, but we must ensure that they will continue to fail at every turn. They will not go away… and neither will we… nor will we be complacent.

    1. We have not yet begun to fight. Don't give up the ship. I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death. Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes. Remember the Maine. Remember the Alamo. We'll always remember Pearl Harbor. There'll always be an England. Stop BDS flashmob videos. Tippecanoe and Tyler too.
