No matter who was at fault, with diplomatic immunity, they have no legal responsibility to pay for the damages. And your insurance company may not treat it like uninsured motorist coverage, so you might be SOL. There was actually a semi-regular beat reporter for the Washington Post's Metro Section covering nothing but legal problems caused by diplomat family members, anything from shoplifting to murder.
