When I first mentioned Arrigoni's death, (the same day he was found), to an Arab friend, with the description Hamas gave at the time; that the pathologist said he was strangled "in an ugly manner", my friend immediately responded that probably meant the murderers cut-off and stuffed his privates in his mouth. Hamas then refused further autopsy and his body was sent out through Egypt, so the Israelis would not have a chance to view it.

So, it could make sense.
