Don't buy products made on stolen land?!!? They mean Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jersusalem? Well, yes, when I think about what they're actually saying, that's exactly what they mean–there should be no Israel at all because they believe it is all stolen land. Looks like you have been a true supporter for a lot longer than I. We would unquestionably differ on the other issues you mentioned, but the important one is with the Arabs. I tend to demonize them because they have been demonized by Islam. Islam is the most retrogressive force on earth today and it's the only durable thing the Arabs have ever invented, other than perhaps FGM and cousin marriage. We are all in mortal danger from it and the Jews are not only on the front line but the koran expresses a special hatred for them. And, particularly galling to the Arabs, these former dhimmis not only kicked hell out of Allah's once vaunted shock troops and now occupy what they consider sacred islamic land. It is a big religious deal for them. They will never leave Israel in peace. They can't. They will go to hell if they do. Their hell is a pretty nasty place.

Islam is not the most retrogressive force in the world, many choose to convert to it, especially in the West. One third of American Muslims are converts.

Western civilisation got it’s knowledge from the Muslim world for over 800 years. Even the West don’t deny that. Check out Oxford University's Islamic Education dept.

FGM predates Islam, by centuries. Girls in Egypt in Egypt, the Nile valley at the time of the Pharaohs. It is not sanctioned by Islam, neither in Quran nor did the Prophet circumsise his daughters. His is the example we follow.

If female circumcision is indeed practiced by the Falashas, the reason may be that as a persecuted and isolated Jewish enclave for thousands of years, the Falashas did not have access to either definitive Jewish texts or informed rabbinical sources. Many of the religious rituals they practiced had no valid basis in accepted Jewish law.

2. His stepfather’s wife (divorced or widowed).
3. The daughter-in-law of his brother or his sister (divorced or widowed).
4. His niece. In American and English civil law, a man may not marry a niece who is the daughter of his brother or sister, but may marry a niece who is the daughter of his wife’s brother or sister. The halakhic permission—even encouragement—to marry the daughter of a brother or sister is superseded by the civil law’s prohibition in this case.
5. His cousin.
6. His stepson’s wife (divorced or widowed).
My general attitude is "live and let live." I'm an atheist and am not keenly interested in the tenets of Islam (or any other religion for that matter). I'm really only interested in religion to the extent that it becomes politicized and enacted into public policy. I'm very comfortable living in our system of government here in America where we value the separation of Church and State, but see no need to impose that on other peoples. You are passionate in your defense of Islam and I have no quarrel with that. I am passionate in my defense of Israel and value the close relationship we Americans share with Israelis.
Keep the taquiyya wheels aturnin'. If you think that prison converts is a good thing it's probably because the major crimes committed by those converts is often permitted in Islam so long as they're against unbelievers. It has been widely debunked that the Islamic world gave the West anything significant since about 900 AD when it completely rejected reason as a method of analysing an issue. It didn't, it couldn't, it can't. You are following a creed that not only permits lying, but encourages it to protect Islam.

You defend against mutilating your women by saying others did it before you. Your women are still mutilated. Again, no! I defended it against your lie that FGM were an Islamic invention. Why didn’t the Falashan Jews ban it? Why didn’t Christianity as the countries that are today Muslim were Christian or pagan before then? Why didn’t the African religions? Why single out Islam, ony 1400 years old, and hold it to a higher standard than the older religions whose communities practiced these?

You are now shifting goalposts with more lies. Your original statements said FGM was an Islamic invention. Now you’re saying why didn’t Islam outlaw these practices? Do you those who do not follow Islam care about what Islam says if they put cultural traditions above religious rulings? Your concern for non Muslim women who go through this is so touching, you hypocrite. If you were genuinely concerned about FGM you'd be concerned about all women who go through it, but you're not. You merely see this as something to justify your bigotry against Muslim.
How about I ask you why the previous religions did not succeed in banning these practices? By your own admission it’s the most retrograde force on the planet, so this means, that even before the dawn of Islam these practices should have been abolished by the superior religions?
By holding Islam to a higher standard you are subconsciously saying it should be held to a higher standard thus making a mockery of your own statements,

you forget that the Islamic world got a lot of of that knowledge from the Greeks and Romans. Basically, they served as preservers of knowledge rather than creators. Furthermore, in the past 500 years, the Muslim world has created little value relative to the rest of the world.
Jim, I wish it could be done your way, the sensible way. There will be all out war as soon as the Arabs feel they can win. Islam would have it no other way. May I suggest that you read up on Islam some more. Robert Spencer's Jihad Watch would give you a good daily dose of the topic. His books are excellent starting points and easy reading. Ibn Warraq, a former muslim, is another good author, but a slightly harder read, but a true West loving intellectual whose depth is phenomenal. But there are many, many more and almost all of them are strong Israel supporters. Because they know.
