I would like to mention here some really important news that I think most people missed. We have always made fun of Israeli law, a cobbled to gether mishmash of Tuskish law, British law, and all sorts of stuff. Well, finally, after 63 years, a bill enacting a complete Israeli system of civil law has passed the first reading. (It is supposedly greatly informed by Jewish law.)
It looks like it will be quite sometime before it makes it all the way (three readings pass a law), but it is a great stride forward. (An Ichud Leumi MK complained that they can't vote on a bill that weighs more than they do – sounds like in the U.S.)
Beautiful video. On a lighter note, Gene is interviewed in a 2 hour documentary about Hugh Hefner that's been showing on HBO. I think it was made a couple of years ago. He makes some great comments about life and women.
