Last week, a group of celebrities toured Israel as part of the America’s Voices in Israel program. They are:
- Mary Lynn Rajskub, known as Chloe O’Brian on the Fox action-thriller 24.
- Shaun Sipos, best known for playing David Breck on The CW series Melrose Place.
- Greg Grunberg, best known for starring as Matt Parkman on the NBC television series Heroes.
- Justin Chatwin, who played the son of Tom Cruise’s character in the Steven Spielberg-directed War of the Worlds, a leading role in the 2007 mystery/thriller The Invisible, and Goku in Dragonball Evolution.
- Austin Nichols, best known for his role as Julian Baker in The CW drama series One Tree Hill.
I’d say they had an amazing time that left a huge impression on them.
I suggest you also read the posts on the America’s Voices for Israel blog, and check out all the photos.
A few more names to add to my Pro-Israel Celebrities post..
“24” star Mary Lynn Rajskub! Alas, with a wedding ring. Some very lucky guy.
Her husband was with her on the trip and is in some of the photos at the America’s Voices for Israel blog.
This is absurd that we have to make pro or anti celebrities list. What other country has to go thru this? China to some extent and maybe the US.
I agree, Juvanya, it is absurd, and no other country would ever need to do this. but no other country needs to constantly prove its right to exist.
it is the Jews’ land because it was a) given by God, and then b) given again by England, and then c) won in wars that it did not start. but that’s not a convenient history for the anti-Semites. and remember, these people don’t really care that much about facts.
Macy Gray actually ran an opinion poll on her website a year or so ago, asking whether she “should” do a concert in Israel. I forget what happened, but it seemed like a wussy way to go about it.
anyway, I do like to see celebs saying and thinking nice things about Israel. (and I have to admit, as hard as my daughter and I have tried to boycott the music of the Pixies because they boycott Israel, we simply cannot stop listening to them.)
I cringe every time I see Elvis Costello on my sisters iPod. But really, boycotts are pointless except on a massive, coordinated scale. Listening to a song you already have is not giving material support to a musician. Youve already bought (or copied) the song(s), so theres nothing you can do about that.
