Hot diggity, dog diggity, ooo, what those do for me!
Off topic to this post but highly relevant to the IsraellyCool site. I was reading my morning paper, the Des Moines Register, and on page 6A there was a short AP article on Israeli government support for the West Bank settlements being withdrawn. As background, the AP article stated as fact that the impasse in the peace talks was due to continued Israeli support for these settlements. I found myself saying outloud indignantly “That’s not true!” IsraellyCool has had a positive affect on the way I read the news, and that is a good thing.
Why not go to Israel and see for yourself how wrong the left-slanted media are? It’s particularly beautiful in the early Spring.

The Israeli government has zigged and zagged on the issue of financial support for West Bank settlements for what I believe are political reasons. Prime Minister Netanyahyu has the unenviable job of trying to keep a number of diverse elements within his governing coaltion together. As of yesterday, the reports I read were that Netanyahu had withdrawn financial support.
