Palestinian Authority Blocks Access To InLightPress

Over the past two weeks, InLightPress, a website that has run a number of articles critical of Mahmoud Abbas, has been hacked three times under the direct orders of Mahmoud Abbas.

InLightPress is now reporting that those living in Palestinian territory cannot access the website as Mahmoud Abbas has ordered the Ministry of Information to block access to the site. It is unclear if this includes Gaza.

The decision, which resulted from Abbas’ desire to suppress the stories regarding his draconian rule, was reportedly made on Wednesday evening.
