Peace Partner TV: Moses Was A Muslim

Old and busted: Jesus was a palestinian

New hotness: Moses was a Muslim

"If you don't let me enter the land, I'm going to blow these things up!"

“We must make clear to the world that David in the Hebrew Bible is not connected to David in the Quran, Solomon in the Hebrew Bible is not connected to Solomon in the Quran, and neither is Saul or Joshua son of Nun [of the Bible].

We have a great leader, Saul, [in the Quran] who defeated the nation of giants and killed Goliath. This is a great Muslim victory. The Muslims of the Children of Israel went out of Egypt under the leadership of Moses, and unfortunately, many researchers deny the Exodus of those oppressed people who were liberated by a great leader, like Moses the Muslim, the believing leader, the great Muslim,
who was succeeded by Saul, the leader of these Muslims in liberating Palestine.

This was the first Palestinian liberation through armed struggle to liberate Palestine from the nation of giants led by Goliath. This is our logic and this is our culture.”

[PA TV (Fatah), Feb. 15, 2012]

Remember, this is from our “peace partners.” If they are willing to lie about history, they sure as hell are willing to lie about their true intentions.

In the meantime, if they want to stick to this version, I helpfully suggest that a certain Egyptian legal scholar sue them.

Brian of London adds: Understand that he is not lying, he really believes what he is saying. The goal is never to prove that he’s wrong with western logic, the goal must be to understand how his views shape his world view and his actions. And then extend that to the many millions (even a billion) who can be led to believe this.

Moses was a Muslim who led the Children of Israel (who were all Muslim) out of slavery in Egypt and into Israel.

That is fundamental: don’t agree with it, think about the implications of believing it. The substitution of the word Palestine for Israel is also largely irrelevant and recent. The whole ethos of Islam is a replacement theology: it’s a massive identity theft and it’s the Jewish identity (largely) that’s being stolen. Better people than me will write extensively on this, when they do I’ll pass it on here. If you can understand this, you will understand one of the most fundamental parts of the implacability of Islam toward the Jews.

  1. Long before he went insane – Andrew Sullivan was very pro Israel. This brief form 2002 captures the essence of the Palestinians attitude towards “truth”.

THAT BARAK QUOTE: It comes from the New York Review of Books interview I linked to yesterday. It resonated with several readers and is still resonating with me. It’s about negotiating with the Palestinian leadership:

They are products of a culture in which to tell a lie…creates no dissonance. They don’t suffer from the problem of telling lies that exists in Judeo-Christian culture. Truth is seen as an irrelevant category. There is only that which serves your purpose and that which doesn’t. They see themselves as emissaries of a national movement for whom everything is permissible. There is no such thing as ‘the truth’.

The tantalizing question is whether he’s referring to the PLO or the literature departments of most Ivy League colleges.

  2. Nothing new here. According to the Quran, Bnei Yisrael were all Muslims. So were Avhraham, Yitzchak & Yaakov. So were Adam and Eve, for that matter.

What’s the big deal if the Muslims claim your patriachs as their own? Think of it as a compliment of sorts, like a Beatles tribute band. Not the real thing, but an incredible simulation.

      1. Who the hell wants a “compliment” from Muslims? Muslims do not “compliment” – they steal from others and claim things as their own. Dietary laws, circumcision, Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Noah, Jesus. They do not have an original thought in their heads.

So you’re saying the Muslims are less like a Beatles tribute band and more like when Gallagher’s younger brother tried to steal his act of smashing watermelons on stage and by calling himself “Gallagher” too? I think the original Gallagher got a restraining order in that case. Not sure how that would work with the Muslims, though.

      2. The issue is twofold.
1- Because they weren’t Muslims. (It would be like a Beatles tribute band claiming they actually are the Beatles.)
2- In this particular case, they are denying that they were Jews who followed Judaism. (Though this is the first time I have encountered this claim put in this way.)

      3. They claim them as their own any deny that they are ours. They usurp and STEAL our patriarchs to give them legitimacy and eliminate ours.

Other than the fact that extremist Islam carries many deeply nationalistic traits, I’d say you’ve got a point.

But then I will have to remind myself that sarcasm can only go so far on the internet. So what I’m really trying to point out is that you are a flippant idiot.

Funny. That was for a whole other thread someplace else on this blog.

So let’s be clear: Extremist Islam is a racist ideology, and racism is very far from the liberal perspective. It’s so far away that it’s straight up a part of nationalism. Just because one may identify with Conservative, and that person may be anti-Islamic, does not make Islam– especially extreme Islam– a liberal, Leftist movement.

Liberals are about education over war. Misinforming people or speaking of how Jews (and others) will go to hell for not believing in Islam is, y’know, not very liberal. No matter what some may post on the internet.

OK, so Ron Paul is the only one still standing who is not pro-War. Do I put him down as a write-in candidate and throw my vote away? Think strategically, not as a twenty-something political neophyte. Obama’s been very disappointing on reversing Bush policies on Afghanistan, Gitmo, civilian trials for suspected Al Qaeda terrorists, etc. But what are my better choices?

    2. Define “extremist” Islam versus “normal” Islam and how and why the latter does not carry “many deeply nationalistic traits” and why it is not a “racist ideology”.

  4. Jawbone of an Ass

My dogs are Muslim too. Islamohounds. Now someone should set something on fire and riot and kill some Muslims, which is standard operating procedure.

  5. This is another elephant in the diplomatic conference room. It has taken a while, but I don’t expect anything better from these people. What is unacceptable the denial by the so-called international community that this hate mongering is in any way an obstacle to peace.
