When palestinian terrorists die in Jihadi mishaps, the palestinian Maan News Agency typically refers to them as work accidents, sans quotation marks*
But now, finally, Maan refers to something as an “accident” – with quotation marks:
Four Israelis on Thursday entered the West Bank town of Salfit “by accident” and were escorted out by Palestinian security officers, the Israeli army said.
PA officers handed the Israeli citizens to the Civil Administration, an Israeli military spokesman said
So let’s get this straight: Ma’an considers an obvious premature explodation of the Jihadi kind as a real work accident, but treats Israelis getting lost and entering a potentially dangerous situation in a palestinian-controlled town cynically, implying they deliberately entered as spies.
Meanwhile, has anyone else noticed the Ma’an News symbol, when turned on its side, looks like a praying reptile?
Just saying.
* they’ve also been known to refer to them with other euphemisms, such as ambiguous explosion and mysterious explosion, also sans quotation marks
