Very moving, indeed. I was very moved, really. But the first thing that I though of was:

Meanwhile, in the more prosaic world of Major League baseball, Ryan Braun, last year’s National League Most Valuable Player, and Ian Kinsler both played in this year’s All Star Game, while Ike Davis broke out of a horrendous slump to once again drive in runs for the Mets.
