Judging by this new trailer for the show Covert Affairs, the show has joined Homeland in filming in Israel, and sees the return of Oded Fehr’s Mossad agent Eyal Lavine (hat tip: AbbaNibi).

Hollywood is obsessed with the Mossad. NCIS has a Mossad Agent played by a Brazilian actress who has the worst Israeli accent since Adam Sandler’s “Don’t Mess With the Zohan”.

I’m sitting here studying the scenes that are supposedly taking place in Jerusalem, but none of the scenes appear to be in Jerusalem (and some appear to be more of a Disneyland version of Israel). What’s most troubling is that the scenes that do look authentic appear to be filmed in Arab cities/locations. For example, in the Jerusalem scenes there sure are a lot of gold topped Mosques – AND – the license plates are NOT the yellow Israeli plates, but the white Arab/Palestinian plates. Does anybody have any more info?
