There are millions of Jews all around the world. What I want to talk about are the Jews of Rio de Janerio. Rio is a city of Brazil which is home to almost 30,000 Jews. The Jewish Museum of Rio is one of the largest and most beautiful Jewish museums in South America. The museum has an extensive collection of ancient Jewish artifacts, and various exhibits dating back to the 1700’s. The Jewish Museum preserves the memory of, and pays tribute to Holocaust survivors, many of whom live in Rio. The Museum’s library contains over 300 titles on the subject and holds regular exhibitions and lectures about the Holocaust. Jewish Image Magazine articles from Jews around the world.
