gaia.
sorry for my late reply (you did not bore me)but a couple of things, some of your comments sounded a little like (lauren booth) Veiled women were sitting on the floor without moving, begging for money, Some were crying, some were praying, some were just sitting there extending their hands covered by black gloves (sorry but this is how it reads and comes over to me-----no insult intended)it also drew a comment from (arief) and to be honest with you, it's a comment i did expect to see it's the way it can be understood if people wish to see it that way.
also it should be understood that the women you have filmed/photo pictured, are of unknown origin who may not be who/what they seem it is now an every day sight throughout the world to see women with tired or drugged children, asking for money, begging is nothing new in israel but i do understand your view/thinking on the matter and what you saw.
i hope my reply/comment is taken by you with the good will and best wishes it was sent with.

The veiled women impressed me, not use to see them all covered.
They usually don't lay on the streets begging for money.
So sorry I bored you.
:D

gaia.
(Two Fridays ago, I captured some incredible images and taped some scenes)
i'm sorry but i must have missed your point (incredible)
you have shown a video you ? standing holding a video camera showing nothing.
begging is nothing new in our country, nor are children sleeping on womens laps, children are quite oftern either tired through being used for long periods of time as begging tools, or given mild sleeping drugs to keep them quiet, to offer the desired image to people/tourests.

You mean with the face covered? Is that a Burka, or a Chador?

I've seen some women with Burkas (not with the face covered) in the mall. They were actually pretty nice, some coloered, some with solver thread. Of course, I also see them in Baltimore.

On the whole, according to government statistics, Jews in Israel are becoming more religious, and Arabs less so. This I derive from the religiosity of the different age groups. This may explain why American Jews are the least religious group in the country.

I do not recall any Arab women in full burqas anywhere in Israel a few decades ago.

See? We're not the only ones with a <em>"Chumra of the <del>Month</del> <del>Week</del> Day Club."</em>
