Obama’s Priorities
When Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu requested a face-to-face visit with US President Barack Obama, the White House said the meeting would not be possible over the two leader’s conflicting schedules.
Critics pointed out Obama found time to appear on “The Late Show with David Letterman” at the same time he could have met with Netanyahu.
But it’s worse than that. Much worse.
On Monday, Obama managed to tape an appearance on ABC talk show “The View” with his wife, Michelle.
And here is how The View co-host Joy Behar reacted to the controversy:
Obama is being bashed for doing the View instead of meeting world leaders. Maybe he’d rather talk to me than Netanyahu. Ever think of that?
— Joy Behar (@JoyVBehar) September 25, 2012
Yes we did.
The message is clear: Obama would rather appear on talk shows than have serious talks with the leader of America’s most important ally.
And I agree.
I’d much rather see Obama as a talk show host than as president of the United States.

I’d rather spend an hour with Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Bahar than listen to Bibi whine about one perceived slight or another. And it’s Bibi who is more likely to be looking for a new gig in the near future than Obama.
That is a really strange statement. Thanks to the housing protest, Kadima is gone and Netanyahu is stronger than ever.
And Ha’aretz didn’t publish!
Iran is a sneeze away from a n-bomb. Our ambassador in Libya is murdered by terrorists & we had the intelligence violence was imminent. So, Jim from Iowa’s guy wants to hang on the View and then go to the UN and maintain a video is behind all this mideast upheaval.
The lessons of history are screaming at you, Jim; the anti-semites still want to mass exterminate Jews. I’m not Jewish and try to see both sides, but, I’d rather our president listen to Netanyahu more and quit playing nice with Islamic murdering villans.
Curtis, neither you nor I have the necessary intelligence to determine whether a military strike is required to prevent/delay Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. Both Obama and Netanyahu do have largely the same intelligence, but yet, they have somewhat divergent public views on this vital issue. All I can do is act on the information available to me through American and world media, including the Israeli press. Based on everything I’ve read, I have concluded that a military strike on Iran at this time is premature and would not result in making Israel’s long-term safety a reality. What more do you want from me? Facts are stubborn things.
“All I can do is act on the information available to me through American and world media … Facts are stubborn things.”
I found a contradiction.
Whatta u got? A magic 8 ball?
Hey Jim from Iowa,
I want zip from you, I do suggest you examine your parsing of the issue.
The fact is only a handful of people really know how close Iran is to a deliverable nuclear weapon. I think I can factually state without top secret access that they are pretty darn close, your own argument back this up. I never said a thing about an imiment pre-emptive strike by Israel. I did enjoin the leader you support is favoring proven jihadist extremists and going on moronic T V shows while the middle east is erupting.
Those are my stubborn facts.
The first part is correct.
The second is not; no matter what you believe about Obama and Bibi (I’m not fond of either), you cannot possibly believe that Obama cares anywhere near as much about Israel’s security as Bibi.
All he does is talk. On the other hand, he could be digging us into a deeper hole, so lets be happy that hes just talking.
He didn’t talk so well last night!
Obama’s behavior is easy to understand for anyone without the blinders of naivete or agreement with his agenda: As a Marxist, therefore anti-Zionist, Obama sees no reason to accord the prime minister of the Jewish State even the most basic hospitality, let alone discuss options on saving the Jewish State from destruction.
What I can’t understand here is Bibi. Does he truly not yet have the measure of America’s first anti-American, anti-Western, anti-capitalist, anti-Zionist president? Why does he even try wringing a bit of consideration from this Jew-hating poritz? Probably the answer lies in the statement he gave a few weeks ago, that the world must not remain silent as it did in the Holocaust. You mention the Holocaust, Bibi? What lesson should the Jewish nation have learned from the Holocaust if not that it is the greatest folly to entrust our security to other nations?
So many right-wing Americans think Bibi is a good and strong leader. In comparison to the Communist Traitor-in-Chief the Americans now have in the White House, Bibi passes, but that’s not so high a bar to pass. Bibi sets too much store what “world opinion” and the kangaroo courts of international “law” would say and what the other nations would do. A true Jewish leader would never attempt to meet with such a POS as Hussein.
He may be all of the first, but he isn’t the first anti-Zionist. We had Carter and Bush I before him.
Obama is a candidate. Period. Full Stop. He never shown anything other than a stunning preference to run for officer over governance. He is quite literally incapable of thinking of the Presidency as anything other than ‘his due’. He won, he’ll win again and no one’s going to tell him what to do once he wins again because there’s nothing TO the job is mind. It’s simply to be Lord of the World.
It’s not just Netanyahu. Obama is avoiding every other head of state showing up at the UN. The character of Obama’s leadership was nailed by that brilliant political scientist Osama Bin Laden. “When the people see a strong horse and a weak horse, they go with the strong horse.” When Obama grovels to mobs of Muslim fanatics, when right after our ambassador to Libya is murdered he heads to Las Vegas for a fundraiser, when our UN ambassador lies on national television that this assault on our consulate was the spontaneous reaction to some obscure video, he clearly comes across as a weak horse and everyone in the region sees it.
