This is an example of when our politics get really stupid and dishonest. Obama was very clearly talking about acts of terror, both 9/11 and the Benghazi attack the previous day. The whole purpose of the Rose Garden event was to discuss the events in Libya. Romney simply got it wrong on the facts at the debate and is unrelenting in his efforts to gain political advantage as a result of a human tragedy.

But Obama has been extremely deceptive in his handling of this tragedy. He tried to limit potential political damage to his reelection campaign for any security failures and ineffective handling in dealing with a terrorist attack. It was all too convenient to blame some nutty American filmmakers for producing a film offensive to Muslims rather than being straight with the American people on what actually happened that day in Libya.

Yes, he spoke about 9/11/01. Said his “acts of terror” sentence. And then mention the Benghazi attack as a continuation of 9/11/01.

No error, because you cut the whole US muslim resident speech – he was referring to 9/11/01, and he was previously spoke about the Benghazi terrorist plot as just an “attack”. You might check your internet connection speed searching for the full transcript.

But no worries, keep voting for 0bama in US, he loves you guys (or your money) SO much. Speaking of death wish…

October 17th 2012 – Governor Romney: “I think it’s interesting the president just said something which is that on the day after the attack, he went in the Rose Garden and said that this was an act of terror. You said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack it was an act of terror. It was not a spontaneous demonstration.”

September 12th 2012, Rose Garden – President Obama: “No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America.”

Both had their weaknesses. Romney can’t explain how his tax policy that favors making deals over making products helps the economy recover and grow. Meanwhile, Candy Crowley did Obama no favors when she falsely declared that Obama had described the Benghazi attack as terrorism the morning after. Her CNN colleague Anderson Cooper had to correct her after the debate and she fessed up her error afterwards. This may loom large in the foreign policy debate to follow next week.

I thought Obama won narrowly. Romney did fine. Debates really are not the best way to find out the qualities needed to be president, though. No president makes any decision of consequence without taking the time to study the matter after consulting with his/her advisors.
